Jessica Xu (she/her)
Hi! My name is Jessica and I am so excited to be teaching this intro to CS course at Fisk this semester as a part of Google’s GIR program :) I was born and raised in Columbus, OH and then moved to California to attend UC Berkeley where I majored in Applied Math and Computer Science. After graduating, I moved to San Francisco where I worked at two different start ups as a software engineer for a few years. After that, I got a job at Google and moved to Seattle to work on Google Cloud’s web accessibility team and I have been doing that for >4 years now!

Andrea Wu (she/her)
Book OH: https://calendar.app.google/Nz3xcPkeT7LRPsUr5
Focused on filling life with activities I enjoy and love doing, having the most fun, and living my best life! I work as a Developer Relations Engineer at Google - creating content like videos, blogs, and code samples as well as presenting at conferences to help developers build, manage, and grow apps with Firebase! In the past, I coded a lot more as a software engineer, and I’m very involved in mentoring, teaching, and speaking to students in historically underrepresented groups in tech. This semester, I’m stepping away from my work at Google to come teach this class full-time, and I’m really excited to be here! You can learn more about my career journey and how I live nomadically without a phone!
